Animal Mama Hospital is proud of its contribution to Apopo’s demining activities through training international handlers for the HEROdogs. Our hard-working team spent two unforgettable days preparing lectures and interactive sessions, which encompass the most essential knowledge in veterinary care, canine physiology, behavior, diseases and treatments. Additionally, it should be mentioned that we are proud to train global-level leaders – handlers from such countries as Colombia, Azerbaijan, Jordan, Lebanon, Ukraine, and many others come to our Cambodia in order to become experts in the field. The innovative curriculum aims to develop skills that save both the dog’s and the handler’s life. This training course embraces insights into anatomy, medical conditions, injuries, and practical solutions for the field. It is important to note that these are exactly the same dogs from the Home of Heroes. The Home Heroes is worlds first  retirement place for working canines and became a turning point in the world’s working animal welfare development. The retirees serve as both educators and blood donors, showing that they are always ready to keep saving lives. We are proud to have such a contribution from such an amazing spirit.
